Analysis (Custom Analysis)

Create instant custom analysis reports independent of Dashboard Settings. Detailed data analysis with TAG selection, filtering and chart features.

What is Analysis?

Analysis page is a flexible tool used to quickly analyze TAGs not on Dashboard, compare different TAGs or perform detailed analysis in custom time ranges. Also ideal for testing before adding to Dashboard.

Chart Algorithms

AlgorithmHow It WorksUse Case
DIFFERENCESubtracts each data point from previous oneHourly production/consumption tracking
LINEARShows TAG values directlyInstantaneous values like temperature, pressure
AVERAGENumerator / Denominator calculationUnit cost analysis
SUMShows total valuesDaily/monthly total consumption

Chart Types

BAR

Bar chart - Ideal for comparison

LINE

Line chart - Ideal for trend analysis

AREA

Area chart - Cumulative view

RADAR

Radar chart - Multiple comparison

Creating Analysis

Step by Step Custom Analysis

  1. TAG Selection: Select TAG or Advanced TAG you want to analyze, You can select multiple TAGs, You can filter by TAG categories
  2. Chart Algorithm Selection: DIFFERENCE: For consumption/production tracking, LINEAR: For instantaneous value display, AVERAGE: For cost analysis (Select Numerator and Denominator TAG), SUM: For total value display
  3. Chart Type Selection: BAR: For comparison, LINE: For trend analysis, AREA: For cumulative view, RADAR: For multiple comparison
  4. Time Range Setting: Group By: Select HOUR, DAY or MONTH, Specify Start Date and End Date, Quick switching with Navigate buttons
  5. Starting Analysis: Click "Search" button, Chart is created and shown, You can change chart type anytime

Example Use Cases

Scenario 1: Hourly Electricity Consumption

Purpose: Analyze today's hourly electricity consumption

Scenario 2: Monthly Temperature Trend

Purpose: See temperature trend of last 30 days

Scenario 3: Unit Cost Analysis

Purpose: Analyze daily unit production cost

Scenario 4: Multiple TAG Comparison

Purpose: Compare consumption of different departments

Best Practices

  • Clearly define your analysis purpose (consumption, trend, cost, etc.)
  • Select correct algorithm type (DIFFERENCE, LINEAR, AVERAGE, SUM)
  • Use meaningful chart types (LINE for trend, BAR for comparison)
  • Keep time range reasonable (very long periods affect performance)
  • Add frequently used analyses to Dashboard
  • Detect anomalies by comparing different TAGs
  • Compare with historical data using Navigate buttons
  • Examine from different perspectives by changing chart type
